Work progression
Rance Baxter modified intake is ready to assemble,    it  will be shipped to Ray Barton's early in July.
Say goodbye to the 440!!!
Well, it's the last picture of the Coupe as a 440 powered car. The engine has been sold, and the Hemi should be here any day now. No turning back!
Well, what the heck! Lookie what my work van found! It's finally HEEERRRREEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
This engine is a little bigger?
While the 440 was OK, I think the Hemi *might* be good for a little more visual impact? This will be in and out of the car for months, for mock up of parts and fitting of pieces.....
Yes, it fits. Barely!
Next thing to do is get a set of headers into the beast, be they custom made or headers that can be adapted. Gotta get this pig running!
Starting to come together
Headers and exhaust are next on the list, then the floors and bodywork can be looked at.
Starting to look like a dash..?
Autometer Ultralites
The sheetmetal part of the dash had to be fabricated to look similar to the original. The cage and knee bar had to pass through it, the CD/DVD player fits inside the glovebox and is not normally seen. The ignition switch/ wipers/ heater controls etc... go below the face of the dash, on a hidden section that can be seen from the front when looked at from down low.
New aluminum stakc to go on...
Headers final mock-up for the driver's side. 2 1/8" primaries into a 3 1/2" collector.
Tape removed with the help of photoshop! This is what they should look like when done!
Driver's side- outside
Passenger side- outside
Driver's side- inside
Passenger side-inside
No more photoshop needed!!!!!!!!                Ceramic coated and ready to go!
3.5" of fun!
What do you think is next?
